What I find is that the best place to get your tach signal is from the tach filter. Use the white wire that runs between the filter and the instrument cluster, not the white wire that runs between the coil and the filter. this wire should also be found running to the instrument cluster, although I was unable to determine which pin at the instrument cluster. To test it u have to use a dwell reading on a Volt meter......
