Default Engine hard to start

What could be heppening if it's hard to start the engine? Here is the scenario:
Car has not been started for 5-6 days. I turn the key and it turns over and over and over for about 5 seconds. I take the key back out, try it again and it tuns over then starts with a very low idle then it idles normaly to around 800rpms. I know the battery and alternator is good.

Any ideas?

you said its been 5 days... next time you tried switching on the car did it go back to normal or is it still taking time to turn?

if it still persists, it might be the starter (ignition) switch in the steering column

It starts right up if it has been started within 3 days. It seems like it only happens if hasn't been run over 4 to 5 days.
