Default want to start spruceing up my engine bay

i wanna start spruceing up my engine bay now that im starting to show my car, all i got now is a slp lid. im thinking polishing a bunch of stuff, brackets, tb, maf, fuel rails, valvecovers. what do i polish them with, would a dremel polishing kit work for this stuff. if i had otherthan a black car i would paint my intake but i think black works best. my other thought is that wire hiding mod under the wheel well but i wonder how safe that is for a daily driver car that does see rain. unfortunatly and fortunatly i have TC so i got that extra box with wires across my engine bay. i like my TC but hate the wires so i stuck with that. anyone got any tips, sujestions, directions for my new battle

This is a fairly loaded question. It really depends on your "know-how", budget, and desired look. For instance, you can spend thousands of dollars to have the engine totally chromed out. You can paint the valve covers and lid to match the car. You can do !EGR, !AIR, etc to clean it up some. It all depends on what YOU want YOUR engine bay to look like. There isn't really a good place to start. I would do the relatively free appearance mods first like painting stuff, deleting items. They cost minimal compared to chrome or billet items. I would also suggest you look at some other board members engine bays. I cannot tell you how long I have been gathering pictures on my computer if I see an Fbody with an aspect I like whether it be wheels, motor, etc. Then I compose/duplicate mods on those pics.

I don't think I answered your question(s), but I hope this helped a bit

Good luck

A Dremel is a Mickey Mouse tool.

Only do small items with it. It doesn't have the power to cut a hard shine.

Try to learn on the maf ends first.

This'll get you started:

Learning how to polish is like learning how to ride a bicycle: I could explain it to you until I'm blue in the face but you're not gonna actually "get it" until you hop on and go for it. You will soon discover why this is commonly referred to as "the black art."
