Different Diameter Tires and ABSINOP
Ok, recently I had to replace one of my rear tires. Well the tire I replaced it with is new, and it is taller than all the others The current ones have bout 20k miles on them so they arent that good anymore. Since it is in the rear, will it be enough to throw off my abs? I reset the computer it and it goes away but then I get the low trac light on a few times then the absinop light will stay on. I already had the 2 speed sensors up front replaced. I guess I'm goin to patch up the old tire and see if that works. Any comments help..............

It burns up the rearend with 2 different sized tires because they are turning at different speeds. The smaller tire turns faster than the taller tire. If you have the same rims/tires all the way around you can put the taller tire on the front untill you get matching tires. At least thats what I would do.

If you had a single track rearend it wouldnt matter as much. But with a limited slip it could happen. Its not going to happen over night unless you ran the crap out of it. But over time it will ruin your rear.
