Default Which way to angle turndowns?

I've heard that angling the turndowns towards each other will produce the quietest and resonance-free exhaust note. But most of the pics show guys angling them away from each other. Which is the correct way? Thanks a lot!

Interesting. Many people point them down, but that's gonna be loud as the sound bounces off the ground and against the bottom of the car. Angling them outward alleviates some of the noise and sends the exhaust out from under the car better. If angling them towards each other really helps the sound then I'd like to hear it.
