Starter Problems
Dear all,
Tried to turn over the motor today to build oil pressure. Starter sounds like the bendix is engaging but is not catching the flywheel. So the shop manual diagnostics don't help - computer is not turned on due to the need to bleed the fuel lines tomorrow.
Starter is stock. Had new flywheel installed as part of replacement clutch package with stock GM clutch package.
Motor is from a 2000 Camaro LS1.
Any suggestions? Manual mentions shims may be used, but doesn't give any help in how to determine if thyey are needed.
Thanks in advance.
Patrick
