Default Weld prostars for a 94 z28? Spacers??

Okay I have a 94 camaro z28 lt1. I already bought a set of used prostars - 15x3.5" fronts and 15x10 for the rears. I have stock lt1 calipers up front. ls1 calipers along with extra long wheel studs for the rear. My question is what size spacer do I need to run up front without grinding also will I need longer studs up front. And is it possible to run spacers in the rear without grinding. Allready have longer studs in the rear. If so what sizes do I need

I heard that with lt1's you dont need spacers. On ls1's a 5/16 spacer in the front will leave you with minimal to no grinding. On the rear its a must that you grind. I use a 5/16 spacer also and quite a bit of grinding.

The reason I ask is because many people who have a lt1 get by without using spacers up front, Some use a 1/4 spacer and someothers use a 5/16. I was not sure if they bolted right up to the front. So your saying the fronts will bolt right up without spacers and the rears - Just grind and use a 5/16 spacer?? I have the ls1 sytle brakes in the rear and extra long wheel studs. - Mike

Yeah, use the 5/16 spacer and do some grinding for the rears, the fronts will bolt right up. It took me like 5 hours to do both sides. Good Luck and post some pics up when your done!

Defently will. Cannot wait to bolt these prostars up. I have those New M/T drag radials on them. But thanks again - Mike

Tried to bolt up the 15x3.5 prostar skinnys today. Will not clear the lt1 caliper. Using a 5/16 spacer up front does clear the front. I just need to install some longer wheel studs. I might also use a 5/16 spacer in the rear- - that way I dont have to grind a whole lot more. - Mike

15x3.5 prostars fit great on my 96 with no grinding or spacers.

I did buy a 5/16" spacer for my 00, but haven't tried them out yet.

Yeah the back actaully hits part of the caliper. I already ordered some longer arp studs for up front - So that should take care of that
