Default Lighting problem

I noticed a couple days ago that my driver side turn signal wasn't working. The front bulb was blown so i purchased a new one, and installed it. Now, it stays on all the time. Is it supposed to do that or not? Also, are there 1 or 2 bulbs in the amber turn signal bucket? Sorry for the newb questions, but its getting dark here so i can't work on it, and i'd like to know exactly what i need to do when i start in it tomorrow after work.

Is this a trans am?
The common problem on TA's is the bulb socket being corroded from water sitting in the housings, the bulb is on the bottom.
