if i remember correctly you need to take the cover off, and start going to town on the rod in the center of the impeller. i ended up letting it soak in wd40 over night and it came right out.

You have to take the front cover off then use a press and press out the center drive pin... be careful "going to town on the rod" because the propeller is sharp and can, and will cut into the metal track underneath it... this will slow down the flow of the coolant and the pump will not work to its fullest potential

Thumbs up

Yes it is press fit.

Remove the front cover plate and press it from the rear. I just did mine a few weeks ago and it was very easy with a press.

Don't forget the plug that seals the hole left by the removed shaft. Looks like a little freeze plug.

ya, im not going with the freeze plug deal. I just dont trust it with the opti right there. So my buddy made me a aluminum piece and i got it welded in there for 110% no worries.
