Default Hooker y-pipe banging floorboard?

I just installed my Hooker LTs and ORY on Saturday. Everything seems to fit well, but the y is banging the floorboard on the driver's side. Has anyone else run into this?

I think I can rotate the short extension piece of the driver's side y to bring it down some, but I'd like some input on this before I monkey with it. Aside from this issue, I'm very happy with the fit and finish of these headers. They're Jet-Hot coated, and look fabulous!

I noticed a *small* leak around the slip fit on each of the connection points. What can I use to correct this?

Thanks for any help on this.

use clamps (like the ones around your maf) and fuel hose for the banging. thats what I did.

No! You don't need to use a rubber hose and band clamp to stop it. Do as you thought, it works. I had no banging issues with my Hooker Y-pipe, but a friend did. We simply rotated the short piece until he had roughly 1" clearance from the Y-pipe extension and the floor board. Perfect, it didn't even affect his ground clearance. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Also, to stop the leaks, use a rubber mallet to push in the pipe together. This will allow the inner pipes to cover the slits on the outer pipes.

I had to put more clearance dents in the Y-pipe. You can rotate the pipe some too to get the flat part parallel with the floorpan for maximum clearance.

yea, I'm experiencing the exact same thing. I'm going to get some band clamps from thunderracing to take care of the exhaust leaks. They are supposed to be the best kind to use.
