Default Project Car Question

Looking to get a project car going (keep my mind off of the Tahoe) and was wondering about starting w/ V-6 model Camaro as my platform (cheaper). I would be up-grading the motor, trans, suspension, brakes and rear-end anyway, so no-sense pay for a Z-28 or SS if all I want to do is build a bracket racer.

Would the LS-1 based motor and 4L60E trans be a bolt in replacement? Maybe all I need to do is find the right motor mounts and trans x-members, hopefully?

What kind of big problems would I be looking at?

Thanks
Gregg

Default Re: Project Car Question

Money wise.. you'd be better off starting with a 98 model V8 car with a few miles on it.

Moving to the Lounge.
