I have 4.10's coming
They are richmond gears in a stock 10 bolt. It's all fresh. If I get a aluminum driveshaft, how well do you think my gears and 10 bolt will hold up to maybe drag radials, street radials, or even slicks?
I maybe taking this to the track soon and I want to make sure it can hold up and get me some good track times.

4.10's and drags or slicks is like a timb bomb waiting to go off. It will grenade, its only a matter of when so do be surprised. This is why I bought Yukon gears which are identical to the 2-cut GM gears from Randys ring and pinion. They have a free replacement no questions asked warranty. I could put on slicks and dump the clutch at 6K and pop every single tooth off both gears and they would just send another set in 2 days. Good thing I am now a pro at installing gears.

As long as you preload the rear with the parking brake up and slip the clutch a bit, then you can make ur 10 bolt last quite a while... im still on my 10 bolt with 3.73's launching at 5k and pulling a best of 12.6
*Edit* I was on M/T Street slicks and skinnies as well...
