Need help building my engine! So far i have
-gen III aluminum 5.3 block
-Complete vortec 5.3 engine
I am goin to swap over the crank, rods, pistons, sensors and all that to the aluminum block. I am thinking that i will go with a ls1 intake manifold for hood clearance issues.
This brings me to my Q's.
-I am goin to re-ring the pistons and replace all the nessisary gaskets too, but if the main bearings are in good shape and within tolerance can i re use those?
-What computer/harness should i use with this setup? Is the truck harness and ecu going to work?
-What rings and gaskets do i need from Summit or Jeg's? I looked on both sites and was having a hard time finding 5.3 specific head gaskets and rings. If anyone has the part numbers that would be a huge help... maybe im just blind though?
