Default The Ultimate Catback

How about a single exhaust with mandrel bent 2.5" tubing from the manifolds into a flowmaster style 2.5" 3" out collector to a 3" mandrel pipe over the axle into a 3" in and out straight through muffler like the ultra flow or borla.

This would get rid of the 2.75" collector of the stock y and save some weight over having 2 exhaust tips.

If your running stock manifolds, I suggest ditching the cats and getting an off road Y, connect that to the 3" intermediate pipe, and buy an SLP dual-dual, thats what I would do if I was in your situation...

Flowmaster is played out...

He's talkin about the flowmaster y-pipe merge collector, not the muffler.

Ah, ok, I was thinking about putting that on my car, I got the 3" FLP collectors coming off the header, it gets pinched off pretty good before it makes it to the intermediate.....there was a thread going about this a while go, I would suggest doing a search..

Yeah my exhaust description was confusing. My goal is to have the lightest cat back that flows as well as a cutout and is quiet when cruising around.

Im not a fan of the cross flow muffler. A straight through one has to flow better. Most y collectors look pretty restrictive compared to flowmasters collector. Running a single exhaust will save some weight. I need to find a good shop that can do mandrel bends.
