Default Magnaflow Catback...

what can I say, sounds awesome and performance is incredible. I am increadibly happy.

First, sound. At wot it screams and is mean as hell. Idle is quiet but louder than stock. Freeway driving is also louder than stock but if kept under 80 mph it is not too loud. But just floor it and it wakes up

Second, performane. I dynoed car last Sunday and put down 330 hp and 350 ft-lbs with lid and magnaflow only.

You can definately feel the difference as car feels a lot quicker and now I get to have a longer tire screech on 1-2 shift

One question though, what are all those small hills in the torque and hp curves

In your case it could be knock retard (KR) going crazy.. that wasn't the case for me.

I added MAF ends and Timing Tricker which raised the timing. It smoothed out the curve and picked up some HP. Still not perfectly smooth.. but much better.

I agree, the Magnaflow is great. I replaced my muffler with the Magnaflow 14267 along with tailpipes and square chrome Z28 tips. It sounds great and I can feel the difference. I'm very impressed with the Magnaflow.

Jaysz, how much did that set up run you. I'd like a Borla (used) but I like your set up with the chrome Z tips. I don't like those megaphones that come on the magnaflow.

To answer your question, I did the work myself. I bought the muffler for $103, new tailpipes, and some other hardware, clamps, reducers, etc (another $100 dollars). The chrome Z tips were a Christmas present but they run about $100. Why not the full Catback? My stock intermediate pipe is 2.75 (and still very new). I didn't see how replacing it with a 3.0" was going to improve flow much. The tails are now 2.5, which I think is plenty. The chrome square tips are little larger than the stock tips and look great under my black car.

Magnaflow is from a local dealer here in So. Cal.

Me, as well as people, at the dyno that day were also surprised at the results

I will try to add MAF ends but I am not sure what "Timing Tricker" is?
