Default Strange wiper problems

I read through some other threads but couldn't find an answer. Here's the problem. I turned on my wipers and they worked like normal for about a minute then they started going crazy as I was driving. For the most part here is what happens. When I turn left while driving (none of these apply while sitting still) the wipers stop moving, middle of windshield or not. While driving perfectly straight they preform the correct function that the switch is on except turning off. And when I turn right the go full blast.

I assume a wire may be loose but I won't have time to look at them until Sunday any suggestions. The **** feels fine it clicks and everything. I haven't tried the Cruise because it was raining pretty hard. Its the strangest I have ever seen. My wife found it hysterical when the blades stopped in the full upright position.

Sounds like a short in a wire.
