Default I forgot how hot cars run stock...(2002 Z06)

I can press the display buttons and get a digital display of various readings.

Always nice to see that that this car runs 212F in traffic with the AC on. Yikes.

Just talking this over with a friend that has a twin turbo C5... my new car(same 2000 model) is running on average 209...if I SIT in traffic, maybe 215...217. Its the stock cooling system.

Now, my old car, a 2000 vette, I had WATER WETTER in it,...and it was at around 189..198ish... anymore then that was rare. Matter of fact, one of my fans shorted out,..so only one was working. The car wouldn't go above 210.

I looked for water wetter last night but, couldn't find it at the place I stopped.

Good easy, safe, cheap mod.

Dude,I drive my 02z daily to NYC and in traffic with ac on on a 90 plus degree day you'll see things kick up!I bought a be-cool radiator wich fits right in and works so good You have to get one.You will be at 180 degrees where you used to be at over 200. Secondly our cars have no oil cooler.Consider adding a small one as engines are oil cooled too.

I've got a 160 t-stat and my fans come on alot earlier... Hottest I've seen since was around 200 idling in traffic on a 90* day... most of the time it runs around 168-175
