Default Best Bang for the New Buck

Hello, my names Dan and I am getting a 01 firebird trans am. 6-speed 5.7 litre v8. I know nothing about these cars really and I really want to learn. Right now I did a search and was looking for what exhaust to get and intake. I think I have my mind made up on the whisper lid. I want the best hp numbers. For exhahust I just want something that really flows well and puts out big numbers. And if someone could explain some terminology that'd also be great. I'm kind of interested in slp loudmouth. But what is the slp dual dual?? And I live next to speed inc. they offered me their own custom exhaust? And after that what is teh best thing to do next. Sorry for long post; really appreciate it.

dual dual is when an exhaust has 2 pipes that comeout the back with tips that are 2 pipes. If u look at it, it would look like 4 tips coming out the back

(Dual exhaust ; dual tips)

Do all the free mods, then is it a ram air car or not. If it is get the BG ram air, filter, lid, maf snesor (work for some people, dont for others) smooth belows, ported throttle body, headers + y-pipe, cat back, 12-bolt, dual disk, or spec stage 3 clutch, cam + valve train, heads. Then once you have all that you have the option to go with a forged motor for boost or nitrous, or a big cube motor.

It is not the TA WS6 which would be the ram air. That doesn't really matter does it? I mean cant I just make the car ram air by getting a raptor hood and getting the... ok see I don't even know.. does the intake on the car I'm getting differ from the ws6?

Listen to what they have to say at Speed Inc. Tom Izzo and his gang are totally first class. They know these cars in-and-out and know how to make them perform..... WJ. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
