have the loudmouth and i'm considering this set-up? please help
I'm considering doing a 3" true dual w/x-pipe and dynomax bullets. what in your opinion is a better sounding exhaust. I want holy **** did a bomb go off loud! Will be doing heads, cam, and a blower. So flow needs to be optimal. No cats will be ran. My loudmouth is not loud enough . Cops could kiss my -SS! Only serious replies who have heard both set ups need reply. Oh yeah one more thing if I stick with the loudmouth I'll be using an off road pipe coming off of qtp 1"7/8" headers.

I have a 224/224 563/563 cam, ATI Procharger,SLP longtubes, the SLP loudmouth on my Camaro which is 3" all the way back. I can hear my car seriously a block away with normal driving. I have also heard the X pipe true duals, and some are actually pretty quite compared to the loudmouth. If you have a big cubed motor of course it's going to be loud. I have heard that the x-pipe setup is around 1,200 for everything. In MOP I like the loudmouth, At WOT you cant hear yourself think. I't can actually get annoying at times.

GO TRUE DUEL!!!!
I had the loudmouth with gutted cats before I converted and the sound is much cleaner, deaper, and outright has more ***** too it. Another thing is that it did away with the "back fire" sound. The volume is a little quieter (can't set off alarms as easy ) but not much. I wen't with 2.5" pipe which did quiet it some. Some people go with 3" but 2.5" should flow enough to support a big block and gives more groud clearance.

It wasn't even $1200 w/ everything installed!!!
Jet-Hot LT's - $540 shipped
Dr. Gas 3" X-pipe kit - $220 shipped
Dynomax Bullet Mufflers (12" long x 3" in/out) - $40/ea. from local performance shop
That totals to $840 for parts. And my installation was $125 for headers, and $150 for the rest, so that's $1115 for parts and installation of a full tru dual setup!!! And it sounds much, much better than any y-pipe setup you can even think of!!!!!!! Deep, bassy, and loud!!!!!! It's a little quieter at idle, but at WOT, it's loud as **** baby!!!!!! And like I said, sounds way better and different, and it's way cleaner, like camaro guy said, very very minimal backfiring sound every now and then! You know what i'm sayin, you'll get one backfire sound here and there, but very minimal.

I like the sound of the LM and LT's. Some say its raspy, but i like it that way. Loud as hell from every throttle position. Than and I like the whole pop, gugrle that it makes in betwene shifts and so on
