cutout and computer?

cutout and computer? would opening and closing an exhaust cutout mess with my cars computer, i have heard people argue both ways but it seems to me that it would mess with something, just wonderin, thanks

Re: cutout and computer? I do not know positively but, when I open mine while car is running after a few seconds my car searches for an idle at times.

Re: cutout and computer? yea i was talkin to a few friends and they say that it does, cause the computer has to ajust to the changes that the cutout makes, one has a lt1 and says he doesn t have to worry about it and the other has a ls1 and a cutout but dont think hes closed it since the day he got it
