Useful life of K&N? Opinions....
I've been running a Direct Flo lid and K&N filter for little over 2 years (maybe 40K miles), and FRA for about 1 1/2 yrs.
Last clean and reoil I noticed lots of black discoloration that wouldn't wash out.
I like the idea of running this TYPE of filter 'cause of the FRA letting so much road crap/maybe moisture to the filter.
Think I'm due for a replacement?
Opinions welcome....

Yeah, I know. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I guess you can't say it doesn't filter when it's dirty, but maybe it just doesn't flow too well?
(sorry for the slow reply, been working 12 Hr shifts on new job)
