Default Pushrods need to be oiled before install?

I just got to thinking. I did not oil up my new pushrods when i installed them. Is this a must? I did prime the system before first start up.

thx

If you primed the system, they got filled with oil.

Well, I filled with oil and installed, used Redline assembly lube on the top end where it goes into the rocker and also put Redline on the tops of the valve stems. Then, just prior to putting on the valve covers I used an oil can and shot some down the pushrods to the top of the lifters and squirted the valve stems and filled the rocker bodies.
