Default Will this sound bad?

I'm going to have a QTP cutout installed in a week or two, and I was also thinking about gutting the stock cats to free up a few extra ponies. Will this sound like total crap? I also plan on adding some longtubes down the road when I get the cash (hookers or qtp's) so would that make things even worse?

Eventually I want to do a nice true dual setup but right now on a college budget I can't afford it, so I'm just wondering how either of these setups (with and without headers) will sound. Also, what kind of power gains am I looking at over a stock 98 m6 with just a lid?

Thanks!

if you are adding LT's you will not be able to use your stock cats. Id just get some highflow random ones. It depends, some people hate the gutted sound, i think it sounds ok.
