your should rear 12v at the starter on that wire. any thing under 10.5v will usually not start the car.

I had enough problems I ran an old school fix with a relay putting power straight from the battery to the solenoid.

the power for that wire travels a long ways and through many switchs and relays to get there even with a good battery I was getting Voltage dropps under 8V at times. I replaced every part of the system trying to fix the problem. running the Relay did the trick!

How did you put power to the relay? Which wire did you use, and what solonoid are you speaking of?

I took the purple wire straight to 12v power... now, the two wires going to the starter each have just under 12v's..... Car will still not crank over. Three headlights are dim, and the fourth is perfectly bright.... Dash lights up, and it makes a "click click click" after I release the key to start it..... Help please...
