help please
i just recently got tuned by a local shop where i am from and got my dyno sheet and it looks like a heart beat truely..and another thing that concerns me is what my air/fuel is reading.. (7.3) now i know i little bit about this stuff and i thought that was pretty lean but i went ahead and called the guy after i got home and read this and he told me that HE HAS BEEN AROUND LS1s FOR A WHILE AND CAN TUNE ONE WITHOUT ANY AIR/FUEL GAGUE OR WIDEBAND WHATSOEVERE so my question is how accurate is my tune if the tuner didnt use anything to check air/fuel??? please help with any info thanks

for one who was the shop ..name and what not if you don't mind?
if your car has only basic bolt ons it is **relatively easy to tune as you should be able to assume what you set the AFR to it will be at or close to.
without a wideband though, you can never tell if it is off.....so i would tell him to get one and tune it right for a better AFR.
but you would be surprised how much power is simply made by the spark table and keeping your stock AFR

but i have a TR 230/236 cam with most bott-ons beside underdrive pulley and ls6 intake so i would think that air/fuel would play a big factor but i maybe wrong thats why i am asking for ya'lls help

Why don't you post this "heartbeat" dyno graph so we can see it. I can't believe it looks like a heartbeat unless you are talking about the AFR. By the way, 7.3 is not lean - it's super rich.

it looks like a heartbeat due to the reason of my coverter not locking, i now have a new tranny with a new coverter that does lock.. but my main question is how good is my tune if my tuner didnt use any tools to read air/fuel... knowing that it is rich not lean makes me a little bit happy but now i am concerned that i got a half *** tune

7.3 in any meaning even boosted is stupid rich. helped a guy tune a Subaru STI and get his AFR higher and he was pegging 9.4 AFR ended up going to 10.5 AFR
N/A cars 12.5-12.9~13.1
boosted normal N/A till under boost and then 11.5~11.8 safety on stock ls1's
please post graph
