I personially feel it is better, but 200+ dollars better? No.
You would need a epoxied highly ported stocker to compete, and I still feel with a upgraded H/C car the fast would win in overall power.
Just a bolton car would probally be a waste.
I have only tried this on one car and the Fast 78 picked up a avarage of 3.8HP over a Bo white ported stocker with a 234/238 598/602 lift cam only 6 speed and a peak of 4.x cant remember exactly but is was mid 4's like 4.4 or 4.5 peak for peak.
This was after adjusting the A/F again on the dyno even though it didn't change much.
Overall the stocker picked up 6 and the Fast picked up just over 10.

Other than being pretty and billet. I wouldnt even think that the part that you have to epoxy on a stocker would make a difference if it was not even present like in the FAST TB's. I would personally stick with a port matched 78 stocker to your manifold. That is what I have.

I agree with sticking to the stocker.
For the coin it isn't worth it.
