Budget Rebuild? (but more to it.... ) Ok, long story short, I have a head gasket leak so at the very least I need to change my head gaskets and mill the heads. I'm putting an STS turbo on this car too, so I'm thinking I may just pull the whole motor, freshen it up as it's got 130k on this motor, and then put it back in. I have about a $2000 budget. What can be done?
Is that enough money to swap the cam, mill the heads, and get new bearings and some machine work to the block? Considering I do the labor of the pulling of the motor?
And I only wanna run about 5-8 pounds with the sts, nothing too extreme...
