Default Manley Valvesprings

Quick quesiton .....

I recently purchased a G5X3 cam, and am in the process of looking for the needed valvetrain stuff. I already know that the comp 921 kit would handle it just fine. However, when looking at the Manley springs and retainers, they come out considerably less expensive and advertise the same max lift as the 921's (Up to .650 I believe)

My question is, are they worth it? I am wondering if anyone has had bad experiences with them, good experiences, etc. Or should I just breakdown and buy the 921's? Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't know what the lift is on the X3 but the Manley Duals are holding up just fine with my F13 and they have about 8000 miles on them

I dont know what the lift is on the X3 either but I just bought the Comp 921 kit because at 7800 RPM I dont want to find out that the few dollars I saved are going to be spent on a tow back to the house. My Comp cam is only .598/.613 cheap insurance. Its your motor though. Do research.

Good luck to ya, Tom

Manleys are good springs, at least by the experience of this crowd. The springs are actually made by only a few companies for all of the vendors, Comp, Crane etc. I thought I read that the Manleys and Comps were made by the same comapny.
