B&M Supercooler - Need some heavy duty line fittings...
I had one of my transmission lines pop off of the supercooler (damn cooler only has a 1" neck and a single barb) while on the autobahn going 120+ MPH.
To say that it wasn't fun is an understatement considering the massive ploom of white smoke and 6 qts of tranny fluid dripping off of my car.
Anyways, the failure was the result of one of the clamps not holding the line on firm enough. I guess the forces involved at those speeds at a consistent basis were too much.
I am now looking for a way to secure the lines that is durable and ultimately invincible.
I found the following kit for a GTP but because I am not smart on these fittings I am not sure what all I need to get (just buy this kit and make it work wiht the GTO?).
Here is the kit:
Cost is around $200, but if I can do it for cheaper by just getting the connectors that is ideal.
What do you all think? I am up for suggestions on how to solve this problem.
