Ebay Molded Carpet
I found a couple of molded fit carpets on ebay. I would just like to know if anyone has used these guys and if it's a good piece.
Here is one it's $119

And the other $219
seems alittle better. It says 36oz jute backing. How much jute is in stock carpet?

ok, according to the sellers site, www.1aautomotive.com, the color codes for the carpet are the same as AACmats.com, which use dupont cut pile. I had purchases replacement carpet from aacmats.com, so I'll tell you what I think of that, "assuming" that 1aautomotive uses the same stuff.
first, it's much thinner then stock, not just the backing, but the carpet fibers themselves are shorter, and don't seem as durable as stock. It's still ok though.
It fit ok, no holes cut, you do that your self. With the thin backing, it doesn't seem to sit on the floor quite as nice. It bunches up and shifts under your feet easier.
Don't get me wrong, for the price, it's pretty nice. Especially if your stock carpet is pretty worn. But don't expect it to duplicate OEM quality.
