Need info on a streetable stroker with D1SC
I was building a strong 402 with an F1R for my 2001 Firebird, but I decided not to install it in my street car. I want to use some better heads for the amount of boost and max effort on power. It will be installed into more of a race car.
I do have a second iron block and my stock aluminum. One either block, I will use a set of Patriot Stage 2 LS6 heads, CompCams 226/234-117 .598"/.599 camshaft, Pacesetter Headers and other bolt-ons. I don't trust my stock short block to handle boost with 3 years of nitrous and 88k on the odometer. So I will rebuild the engine or build the other iron block. I figure a 383cid in the aluminum or another 402cid in the iron. With the chamber on the heads been reworked to 59cc, the 383 will have a 9.1 CR and the 402 will have a 9.6 CR. I thought about getting a 8-rib D-1SC ATI kit for either size engine.
I am looking for a streetable, pump gas only setup. What kind of boost should I expect from a reasonable pulley? I don't want or need to spin the blower at its maximum speed, but I would like to make some good power. If I wanted big power numbers I would have used my F1R. But that is too much for the street and daily driving. I know other have done it, so let me here your input.

I have a 402 iron block that had a P-1SC on it....going to a D as soon as it gets here. I was making 7-8 psi, now they tell me it will be around 12 with the same pulleys (7.5 crank, 3.85 s/c). IF I spin it to 6500+ like I was. I'm hoping to be able to run my 10.50 goal at 6200 or less. My cam has a little more duration than yours, and only a 115 LSA, and I run 6L heads with 9.3 CR. But it's very streetable, and gets ~ 20mpg.
