DCR Calculation
How do I calculate my Dynamic Compression Ratio? I want to know what the change will be between my stock cam (LS1) and my new 224/224 XER lobed 114+0 cam. Thanks for the help.

You'll have to know the cam specs at .006" lift and use the DCR calculator located here http://www.empirenet.com/pkelley2/DynamicCR.html .

Well I'm not an expert but I will take a stab at it and then maybe someone else will say if it is right or wrong. Using the simplified spreadsheet from here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/512946-modified-simplified-ve-calculator-i-need-some-input.html
I took the lobe values from the lobe source tab and these are the values I changed on the dcr manual calculator tab.
Under the .006 column:
ID 273
ED 273
Deck Height: -.007
Under the .050 column
LCA 114
ICL 114
Which gives a SCR of 10.39 and a DCR of 7.89 if all you don't touch the heads. I think the stock DCR is just below 7.0

Well I forget a few things about the stock motor such as how far the pistons are out of the hole, what size bore the stock gasket is, size of the combustion chamber, piston dish, and what size the rod length is. I've been doing calculations out my *** for months for 408's but just stopped to realize I have forgotten most about the stock setup :dee dee deeee:
