Default What is the thread specs on a LS1 knock sensor?

I am looking for the thread size and pitch for a stock LS1 knock sensor. They are going on an LS2 block and need to make the hole larger.

Thanks

10x1.5--same as the rest of the holes, like the engine mounts.

The two lugs you are likely to use are not drilled and tapped for 10 x 1.5.
Test fit the LS1 engine mounts to the block first, cause you will have to grind or cut one side for fit to block and other side for knock sensor clearance. Much easiier if to don't wait till the engine is in like yours truely did.

BTW if you are using the Katech harness watch out for wire codes, cause cam sensor does not clip in like it should.

Thanks for the "heads up"!

The motor is still on the stand so I'll check the clearance prior to installation. My reasoning for this post was because I knew those lugs where not ready for the stock LS1 sensors. I planned on drill them out and tapping them with the 10 x 1.5mm.

I was just going to extend the wires for the cam sensor. What is the issue with the Katech harness?

The plug they use is strange. If you plug it in so it locks it is 180 out for wiring. Make sure you match A>A, etc. It won't lock but the engine will run.
