Default how hot is your supercharger!

How hot is your supercharger after normal use!

can you touch it without getting burned or is it hot like a turbo would be?

I know they do the same thing so I think the supercharger should be hot to the touch! I just noticed the under the hood temps are way up since the install so I wanted to be sure that is normal!

They definitely get hot but nothing like a turbo because no exhaust is running through them.

An ATI ProCharger will indeed be hot to the touch, as it is compressing air. Bob

They are always hot, due to engine heat soak and compressing of air. Anytime air is compressed, the temperature goes up.

The blower is still working, the air is just being relieved through the bypass valve. Bob
