Default What all is needed for a strong 383 buildup?

I mean everything.. obviously the rotating assembly but what else would be needed for a very strong/bulletproof 383 out of an LS1.

What engine machining?

What valvetrain upgrades?

Engine girdle?

... looking to buildup a strong and extremely reliable 383.. even if components are slightly overkill.. I'd rather do it all at once and do it right.. i want to be able to rev high without fear and run nitrous without fear...

Any input appreciated

go to www.dmperformance.org, I would never build an aluminum block with out the patented lsx engine main girdle, also see my project car link, I built a 383 just like yours, and I am expecting easy 800 ft lbs out of the set up.

it seems you are ready to spend some money so why not go ahead and build an aluminum 402 or iron 408 ? if you are wanting good internals like say lunati the shortblocks would not be all that much higher.then with any of the strokers you will need a decent head to help that big boy breathe.i would check with some of the sponsors and see how much a long block would be.
