Need help w/BFGdr and Mickey Thompson street/slicks
I have a set of bfg 255/50R16 dr's at home that I will go to the track with tomorrow and try the new set-up with. Last week I went out with my 315 kd's and could not hook at all I was literally spinning all the way up until third gear. My question's: are my bfg's going to help any they're only 25.5 tall and all the threads I've been reading say to go with 26 or 28. 2) Should I go with a MT street dr 275/60R15, which everyone seems to love 3). or should I just go for a MT 28X10.5-15 Et drag slick. I would appreciate any advised since I'm a sore looser when it comes to the .25 mile.

i have a set of hoosier qtps 26*9.5*15 for sale with 15*8 draglite mounted with lugnuts/washers with like less than 20 runs for sale if you would be intested they were awesome on my car just don't have the power to put them to use i was bogging to hard.

Silver 98, do you have any pics of wheels and tires? Bibdsz, do you think you weren't getting ay traction because you were going with a 17 inch rim? I've heard that the more sidewall you have on a tire the better traction you'll get.. It kind of makes since if you think about it just look at all the pictures of cars leaving the line you can see the side wall twisting I guess it's like a sling shot when it recoils back. The more sidewall the better just my opionion...

Tirefire I agree the more sidewall the better, the only reason that I haven't gone with the 15's is that I don't want to grind the calipers unless absolutely necessary. Some guy last week said the MT DR's should not be used on our M6 cars, I did not believe him, so I called Kevin at MT. He said due to the shock load on the F body their DR should NOT be used. Hard to believe but that is direct from Mickey Thompson.
