are nitto bfg DR 315's wider then other 315's?

are nitto bfg DR 315's wider then other 315's? I just put some BFG DR's size 315/35/17 on my tt2's. and now the tire sticks out past the fender a tad. are bfg's some of the wider tires? Im thinking nitto's would probably be alot skinnier, right?

Bfg's are very beefy tires, they have a very thick sidewall. They might run a little wider then nittos but no by much. They are deff beefier than nittos.....

it is because the 315 is a measurement in mm of the widest section of the tire, the bulge of the side wall from each side. Therefore not all tires brands have the same footprint. But Yes, BFG tend to run a wider tread. My 285/40/17 BFG KDW, was almost as wide as my Nitto 555R 315/35/17.
