Default Is B&M Shiftplus really bad or just a myth???

I did a search and only found 4 non-informative posts...

I have a 1998 Z28 and a friend had a B&M Shiftplus he's offering me cheap. Do they really do damage or is it a myth?

I remeber just doing the "free mod" of hooking a switch up to my 1994 Z (to activate the stock "hidden" shift program) made a pretty darn good difference and was figuring this would be a good sotp mod...

I personally feel that the shiftkit is worth it. I dont agree much with the tuners that simply adjust line pressure, But the one that is made up of actual springs that shoot the car into the next gear through the valve body.

Yeah, I'm talking about the switch that increases line pressure...
