Default Vortech bypass...help please

I just recently went to a smaller Pulley(2.5) on my V-9 kit, I was seeing about 9lbs boost with the 2.75 pulley, now with the 2.5 I am not seeing really any boost increase or extra power.... Could this be due to the cheap stock bypass valve is bleeding off any extra pressure over 7lbs?? and if I upgrade to a race bypass valve can I vent it into the atmosphere with a MAF?

We installed a Mondo on my buddy's T/A and it's before the MAF with no issues. But we have ATI...your vortech....I'm not familiar with the plumbing for mounting it on your app. Mondo would be the way to go....the one that came with the ATI kit sucked *** and had really slow response. The mondo slams shut quick as hell and flows 600cfm@10#'s upon release. It's like a damn leaf blower....warning...it's huge, so I hope you have room, 6x6in. of space needed

You were already overspinning with the 2.75. It may be just out of the efficiency range. I would like to see a g-trim guy try speed density and remove the MAF. I would expect 2 more lbs. because the 75mm MAf really chokes down a 3 1/2 blower inlet. I picked up 2 lbs. by switching to the pressure side after losing 3 lbs after installing the FMIC.

You might have belt slip with that small size pulley. Any belt dust?

The stock Vortech valve is only good for about 10 - 11 psi. More than that and you should upgrade. I have a TurboXS valve that was $150.

i'm surprised your only seeing 9 psi, what rpm do you bring it up to?
