Default fuel pressure ?

I just installed a walbro, new feed line, return line, rails, and regulator. I set the fuel pressure at 58#. Car was running bad and rich . I turned the pressure down to 50# and car is running much better and no where near as rich. Is 50# too low ? Did anyone else have this problem ?

does your regulator have a vacuum line port on it? if so did you have that attached when setting fuel pressure or did you do it with it open?

it does have a boost refrence but I'm not boosting, yet. I did a search to find the stock fuel pressure, and the concensus was 55 - 60 #. So I shot for the middle. I drove the car again earlier, and it seems fine. I just don't want it to be lean and then spray on top, and possiblily cook something. I think I'm just going to try it. WTF.
