Going +1 on STS
Ive got an 02 ws6 bone stock except sts t61, intercooled with 42lbs svo, and racetronixs pump. I'm runing 5 psi with a crane powermax tune. I've never felt good about the crane tune, but now I want to upgrade to MP t-70 with an 81. a/r and 02- zo6 cam, with 918's tit retainers and pushrods. Trying to keep it Ca. legal(ish). Any body run a similar set up on a stock motor? and what #'s where you making? Is 8 psi about the max to run safely? Right now my A/f Ratio is about 11;1 will the 42's max out at 8 psi?

I'm pretty sure your 42's will be fine at 8 psi. Sounds like you got the right idea with the size A/R for the rear mount and all. You've already got pump, and with the 918's valve float for 8 psi should not occur. In the hands of a reputable tuner, 8 psi should last you a while with the stock bottom end. That cam should also help spread the power in the right place a little bit. Currently, I am also bone-stock on 8# of turbo boost...
Keep in mind, though, that 8 psi begins making the stock drivetrain something of a concern... At least the clutch.

thanks for the info, I have already gone to the z06 clutch, do you think that will hold, or do I need a stonger one. I also got a lot of people recomending 12secSS for the tune. I've read alot of his posts and he really knows what he's doing. Even fixing others bad tunes.
