Default mass air question?

How much boost are you guys running on your stock gm mass air sensors?
And how much boost is safe to run on a stock gm mass air?

u can run as much as you want...it will stop reading at 512 and 439 depending on the year of the car. you have to compensate by adjusting values in the ecu to add more fuel...2bar/3bar upgrade works too...

Does it stop at 439 on the 98's or just at 11250hz instead of 12K

i know it stops at 439...not sure what that coorelates to in hz for the 98s.

but if you have hptuners/ls1edit/efilive..u can scale the maf like the 99+

So if you upgrade to a 2bar or 3bar mass air its able to read and adjust for higher boost?
