will my a4 last longer in a light car will a a4 last longer with a 2600# car with 4.30's?this is mostly a dd, but will go the track about once a month.

4L60 trans doesn't like to go much above 6000 rpms. Eventually, you'll hurt it going to 6600. Hopefully some of the other automatic guys can chime in to let you know what parts need to be upgraded...
I saw your sig in another post. I really dig the idea of an LS1 in a Fox body Mustang. Must really rip @ 2600 lbs.

I would say the less weight would help some. I can't coment on how much because this is just a guess. You figure a truck that tows a lot will always blow its tranny out before a truck that doesn't see much towing. Sounds like simple math to me.
