Difference in horsepower and/or fuel efficiency with different octane rating gas I was wondering how much horsepower I would loose if I put 87 octane instead of 93? And how bad it is for the engine in the long run. Would I get more mpg as well? or less? Thanks in advance. Great website btw, I learned a lot.

Probably about 15hp less and I would say mileage would be about the same maybe a little less. Stay with 91+ octane in your ls1, your car will thank you in the long run.
