How to launch with an STS.
I'm gonna be running my car at the local track this weekend and I could use some advice. What would be the best way to lauch my car? I'm gonna be running on hoosier et streets. The mods I have done are in my sig, and i'm running the stock 3:42's. I forgot to mention I don't have a step yet.

without a step....
ummm i would just rev it to a good rpm and drop the clutch when the light goes....but i know there are other ways...just hard to do and i would just go for something i could replicate everytime...
comming out of the hole w/o boost is not a huge deal imo because we still have low end tq....

I prefer the dump of doom. Hold it at 5K and side step the clutch. That is the funnest part of driving a 6-speed at the track. If it spins badly lower it some and try again. Oh and obviously I'm talking about running on slicks or at least good DRs.

Rev to about 4000-4500rpm and lift straight up off the clutch as you floor the gas. DONT sidestep on the stock rear...
Should hook well with the tire you are using without killing the rear end

no it wont bog if you have the RPMs high enough....but since you are on the stock rear then yea slip it. didnt know if you had a 12-bolt or not, but it will be a lot of fun to do the dump of doom if you get the itch.
