Default So i thought i had decided on tires...

Ok, im sick of trying to figure out what tires to get. I had decided to get the bfg kdw2's. The car does see rain and whatnot since its driven all year long. But then i see that its not supposed to be used around freezing temperatures which i know im gonna see this winter.
Is this a big deal?
im looking for a tire that will hook well but that i can drive year round. around a 275/40/18
Any advice would be appreciated at this point

I got the same tire last weekend an so far I love them. I think you would want a 275/35 instead of a 275/40 though.

How wide are your rims? I have a like new set of Fuzion ZR1's(less than 700 miles) that I have been trying to get rid of. They are very nice tires with good wet an dry weather grip. The whole set is 245/40/ZR18 pm me if you think you would be interested. I will make you a great deal.

ur location is not listed. i live in the Chicagoland area. if u expect to drive at near freezing temps u should really jus invest in two sets of rims/tires. something that u can drive in the spring/summer/fall and something for the winter.

the kdw2's will be good for the spring/summer/fall. also look at the eagle f1 gs-d3. as far as winter tires go, i still have yet to look into different ones, but i will be shortly. i would not drive or store the kdw2's in freezing temps.

Default Goodyear GSD3

People love them. Expensive but worth it. Whatever you do, don't put Japanese stuff on your American muscle. It's just not right.

put the best product for ur set-up on ur car. by this, i dont mean the best product in general. i mean the best product to go w/ everything else u have or will have, regardless of origin.

LOL! I had Toyo tires on my '96 Camaro. Seems to grip pretty good. I just ordered some G3D3s for the bird though.

Alright, im stupid. I just remembered i have a pair of stock rimswith a set of tires on them. So i can just use those in the winter, grrr for not matching wheels, but then i guess i can go with the kdw2's or since i can use the stock 245's during the winter, should i go with the bfg kd's instead?

I have 275/40/18's on now. Should i stick with that size or go to the 275/35/18's, I enjoy the better gas mileage the larger tire gives, how much difference in acceleration do you think there would be?

If i go with the kd's the only size is the 275/40s
