Turtle Wax Ice Question
I recently did a long detail to my Z. I topped it all off with 3 layers of Mequires #26 wax. I have an entire bottle of the ICE left and was thinking I would use a layer of it when I was my car over the weekend. I understand that ICE may not have very good protective qualities, and I believe the Meguires does. And I here when you layer the ICE it takes off the previous layer with some sort of cleaning agents. My question is as follows, Sorry it took so long:
If I use a layer of the ICE of the 3 of Meguires will it remove the protective layers of Meguires on the car?
If I use a layer of the ICE of the 3 of Meguires will it remove the protective layers of Meguires on the car?

if you are going to top things off , a carnuba is usually the last thing ..
second .. three coats is overkill .. two is fine to ensure proper coverage and protection.
third .. if you are curious .. try it .. it won't hurt anything, it i will just cause you more work if you don't like it, or if it doesn't last long enough, and you will have to redo it sooner.
as a general rule .. as long as you are using good quality products, and proper technique, you won't screw anything up .. and experimenting is never a bad thing. although, you do need to be careful when playing with products that have cutting ability (see the proper technique comment)

if it has any cleaners, then yes, it will .. how much?? no real way to tell .. give it a try, see what the results are.

#26 should be plenty to give you a killer shine with a lot of color richness and depth. #26 is currently my favorite last step product... I wouldnt top it with anything. If in fact ICE does have cleaners in it.. then I deffinately wouldnt use it after #26.
I also agree that 3 coats is overkill.. 2 is good enough.
