Boost Motor Help
Hey guys im thinking of building a motor for my SS this winter, i have some questions. I wanna build it for boost, however im not sure how long it will take for me to pick up a turbo kit after i do a motor. Money isnt flowing great for me..lol..But would it be better to maybe buy a built shortblock and build that and run my stock motor for no, or should i just build my stocker and have it rebuilt with better parts? Also this isnt going to be a race car, its going to be a driver and a weekend warrior so i wanna keep it "somewhat" tame..ANy help anyone could give me would be appreciated..Thanks

Really your preference man. You can put better pistons in your car, without knowing when you'll be able to afford the kit, like... Next year? This year? You could put together a budget motor and still run 10 psi with meth at a decent NA compression ratio. How fast do you wanna go is the real question, and how much money are you willing to dump into it? FI isn't cheap, I'm sure you've realized that...

There's a ton of more budget-mind kits out right now.

You already have a mild cam, just get some 317 heads too. $325 at the most.
