Default This ok to seal my EGR hole?

I have a 35mm one of these. best to just tap it in to place??

You could, but I recommend getting a rubber freeze plug. It's too easy to crack the intake tapping the one in your picture in. 1 3/8" is the size you need. Only costs a couple dollars.
