What to look for in used D1SC?
I'm in the market for a Procharger for my 01' T/A. If I were to buy a used one what things should I be aware of mechanicaly in the supercharger. I mean are there any parts internaly that could be worn/damaged. I just want to make sure I don't get ripped off.

Its pretty tought to tell from the outside, leaking seals or a damaged impeller would be the only obvious things along with being locked up. Most major repairs on the head units are 1000.00 so I wouldnt even consider a used kit unless you can buy for 1200 less then a new one then at least you are covered there. But if you are nervous about it just buy a new one, sometimes missing little hardware and broken items can push the cost of a used kit over a new one when its all over.

Good info from the guys above. When looking at a used ATI ProCharger, also remember that the older units came with smaller intercoolers, 3.5" thick instead of the 4.5" thick ones. The older units also came with a six rib wide belt, instead of the eight rib belt that is standard today with the 1GJ204-SCI. Bob

Thanks for the info guys. I would be buying just the supercharger, not the kit. I would have to buy the kit at a different time and would buy it new.
